RAWALPINDI: Security forces conducted two successful operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing eight terrorists, including a key commander involved in terrorism, here on Thursday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the first operation was carried out in the Sararogha area of South Waziristan, where an intelligence-based operation resulted in the killing of Khan Muhammad alias Khoori and another militant.
Meanwhile, security forces also arrested two terrorists during the operation.
Khan Muhammad, a notorious commander, was wanted for target killing and extortion and had a reward of Rs 1 million on his head.
The second operation took place in Lakki Marwat where security forces killed six militants after a heavy gunfight.
Meanwhile, the operation continued with clearance efforts to ensure the presence of militants in the area.
The ISPR stressed the resolve of security forces to eradicate terrorism from Pakistan.
These operations demonstrated the ongoing resolve to counter threats and maintain peace in the region.
