Security forces shot down 31 militants in KP operations :ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Security forces have eliminated at least 31 Indian backed Fitna al Khwarij in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The operations were carried out on September 13 and 14 in the Bannu and Lakki Marwat districts of KP.

“An intelligence-based operation was conducted by the security forces in Lakki Marwat District on the reported presence of khwarij.

During the conduct of the operation, own troops effectively engaged the khwarij location, and after an intense fire exchange, 14 Indian sponsored khwarij were killed,” the ISPR said.

“Another intelligence-based operation was conducted in Bannu District, and in ensuing fire exchange, 17 more Khwarij were neutralized by the security forces,” the statement reads.

“Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored kharji found in the area, as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country,” the ISPR press release added.

Earlier, at least 35 Khwarij have been eliminated by the security forces in two different operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

“On the reported presence of Khwarij, an intelligence-based operation was conducted by the Security Forces in Bajaur District.

During the conduct of the operation, own troops effectively engaged the khwarij location, and after an intense fire exchange, twenty two Indian sponsored khwarij were sent to hell,” the press release said.

The release further added that “In another encounter that took place in South Waziristan District, thirteen more Khwarij were neutralized by the security forces.

However, during intense fire exchange, twelve brave sons of soil, having fought gallantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced Shahadat.”
