LAHORE: In a tragic accident, a three-year-old child died when he fell into an open manhole at the Children’s Hospital in Lahore.
A disturbing incident was reported in Lahore today, where a three-year-old child lost a battle for life after he fell into an open manhole at the children’s hospital.
According to police reports, the boy was brought to the hospital for a routine checkup where he suddenly fell into the manhole while playing in the nearby park.
The tragic incident quickly came to light and CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz took notice and ordered a detailed report from the Secretary of Health.
Maryam Nawaz expressed her profound grief at the child’s death and offered her condolences to the parents. In a statement she said that an open manhole is a matter of criminal negligence and legal action will be taken against those responsible.
