Utility Stores Reduce Prices of Various Items under Ramadan Relief Package

Islamabad: Utility Stores Corporation has announced a reduction in the prices of various non-subsidized items following the implementation of the Ramadan Relief Package.

According to private TV reports, prices of items such as macaroni, turmeric powder, beverages, jams, and pickles among others have been decreased starting today.

Under the Ramadan Relief Package, Utility Stores Corporation has reduced the prices of several items including macaroni by Rs. 10, turmeric powder by Rs. 18, spices by Rs. 80, and rose water by Rs. 12.

Similarly, the prices of jams have been reduced by Rs. 20, pickles by Rs. 15, and ketchup by Rs. 20. Additionally, reductions ranging from Rs. 6 to Rs. 12 have been made in the prices of rice pudding mix, custard powder, and vermicelli.

Various tea brands have also witnessed price reductions ranging from Rs. 5 to Rs. 43, while items such as soap, cleaner, surf, shampoo, and toothbrushes have also been made more affordable.

Utility Stores Corporation has issued a notification regarding the reduction in prices of non-subsidized items, which will come into effect from today. The Ramadan package has been initiated today and will continue throughout the month, with updates expected on a monthly basis.

It is pertinent to mention that under the Rs. 7 billion Ramadan Relief Package announced by the Prime Minister, subsidies are being provided on 19 essential items.
