LAHORE: The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Lahore has issued tubewell operating timings to provide a continuous water supply to the people on the occasion of Eidul al-Adha 2025.
The agency’s notification reads that the tubewells would run in three separate time slots during the Eid days so that there is proper water availability to the consumers.
According to the Central Ruette Hilal Committee, the Eidul al-Adha will fall on June 7 to 9 in Pakistan.
Water Supply Schedule for Eid in Lahore
For the first day of Eid, the first shift will operate from 4:00 am to 12:00 pm, the second from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and the third from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
For the second day of Eid, water supply will be available from 4:00 am to 10:30 am, then 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and once again from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
As per the WASA Managing Director, it has been ordered that all directors will carry out a comprehensive survey of Eidgahs and mosques and redress all complaints of water overflow instantly.
He added that all field offices would be fully functional and staff would be actively deployed. Immediate repair directives have also been issued in case of a tubewell or machinery breakdown.
WASA also informed that all functional personnel will work in three shifts throughout the day and night during Eid, and all leave of the staff has been suspended to avoid any inconvenience to the citizens.
