ISLAMABAD: Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that the government is ready for talks, however, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is taking the path of verbal abuse instead of talks.

Talking to the media, Khawaja Asif said that the Prime Minister offered talks to PTI three to four times, but PTI refused to talk every time.

He said that power is the most temporary thing and the solution to problems is possible only through talks.

The Defense Minister further said that we are still ready for talks, but PTI is only abusing us.

Talking about institutions, Khawaja Asif said that the former DG ISI was held accountable, and the credit for starting the process of accountability within his institution goes to the current military leadership.
