KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced that a holiday will be observed on Wednesday, May 28, to mark Youm-e-Takbeer.
PSX chief market operations has issued the notification stating that no business activity will be carried out on May 28 due to the holiday.
The public holidays are announced to mark significant occasions across the year.
Youm-e-Takbeer is observed every year in commemoration of the Chagai-I and Chagai-II series of nuclear tests conducted on May 28, 1998, that made the defense of the country invincible.
The day made Pakistan the seventh nuclear nation of the world and the first Muslim state to have a nuclear arsenal.
