Chahat Fateh Ali Khan receives legal notice for ‘defaming’ Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan

ISLAMABAD: Well-known social media personality and singer Chahat Fateh Ali Khan has been mired in controversy after the release of a controversial remix of one of his songs, which has attracted considerable attention and criticism.

As per the reports, a legal notice of one crore rupees has been sent to Chahat Fateh Ali Khan. 18 crores from the estate of legendary Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.

The notice alleges that defamation and emotional distress have hurt public sentiments in Faisalabad, where Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan is a respected figure.

A legal notice issued by Qaiser Munir Khan to Mian Muhammad Amir Niyaz has accused Chahat Fateh Ali Khan of violating copyright laws and tarnishing the legacy of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.

It has given Chahat Fateh Ali Khan a deadline of 15 days to respond, failing which legal proceedings for defamation will be initiated in court.

Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, known for his active presence on social media platforms and unique style of music, has not yet publicly commented on the legal notice. The controversy has sparked heated debate online, with both supporters and detractors voicing their views on the matter.

The notice also demanded a public apology from Chahat Fateh Ali Khan on his social media channels, seeking to mitigate the alleged damage caused by the controversial remix.
