ABU DHABI: Authorities in Abu Dhabi closed an eatery on Friday due to inadequate hygiene, notably in the kitchen and storage rooms.
The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (Adafsa) cited Khushab Darbar Restaurant in Mafraq Industrial City for repeated violations of food safety standards.
“Several measures have been taken against this establishment due to the poor level of hygiene in food handling and storage areas,” it said.
The restaurant did not keep its equipment and freezers clean, it noted. Even the ceilings and floors in the preparation room are in poor shape.
Adafsa stated that the closure order will be in effect until the sanitary issues are resolved.
