Former Scottish First Minister Humza Yousaf expresses concern over Imran Khan’s imprisonment

ISLAMABAD: The former First Minister of Scotland and Member of the Scottish Parliament for Glasgow Pollok Humza Yousaf has expressed concern over the continued imprisonment of Imran Khan, here on Wednesday.

As per the details, in a tweet, he stated that while he does not affiliate with any political party in Pakistan, the practice of imprisoning political opponents before elections undermines democratic principles in a nation he holds dear.

In a response federal minister for information & broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has said that the person who is facing charges of corruption and misuse of authority and all these cases are in courts of law; does any civilized county let such people go because of rhetoric and propaganda. I believe not.
