ISLAMABAD: Germany has allowed the entry of about 2,000 Afghans in Pakistan, here on Wednesday.
As per the details, Germany will allow the re-entry of Afghans who were considered at risk due to the Taliban regime.
According to a private TV, the decision came after several months of restrictions and legal cases filed in Germany. The German Foreign Ministry said that these Afghan citizens were at various stages and their screening process has been resumed.
The relevant authorities are in Pakistan to proceed with the process of Afghans entering Germany. Only those Afghans whose cases have been successful in court or who have already been officially approved for entry into Germany will be able to enter Germany.
Security checks will be mandatory for these Afghan citizens, in addition to which an exit permit from Pakistan will also be required. It should be noted that Pakistan has given Afghans a deadline of September 1 to leave the country.
