TEHRAN: Iran has said that the 10-year agreement with the world regarding its nuclear program has expired.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry has said that all provisions of the 2015 nuclear deal expired on Saturday and Iran is no longer bound by the agreement, but Iran is committed to diplomacy.

It should be noted that the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action agreement in 2015 included Iran, the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Russia and China.

Under this 10-year agreement, Iran agreed to limit its nuclear program, while international economic sanctions on Iran were lifted.

Later, US President Trump announced his withdrawal from the agreement in 2018 during his previous term.
