ISLAMABAD: A small plane has crashed in Kenya, with 12 people feared dead.
According to the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, the plane had taken off from the coastal tourist resort of Diani and was heading to the private airstrip Kichwa Tembo in the Masai Mara National Park.
The plane crashed at around 5:30 am (local time).
The authority’s statement said that there were 12 people on board the plane, an investigation is underway to find out the causes of the accident and government agencies have reached the scene.
It should be noted that last August, a light plane belonging to a medical organization called Amref crashed near Nairobi, in which 6 people were killed and 2 were injured.
It should be remembered that yesterday, a US Navy helicopter and a fighter jet crashed in the South China Sea in two separate incidents.
According to the Navy’s Pacific Fleet, all five crew members were safely evacuated. There was only a half-hour gap between the two accidents.
