Qatar wins world’s best airport award by defeating Singapore

DOHA: Qatar won the award for the world’s best airport by defeating Singapore, which has won the award for the world’s best airport 12 times.

According to media reports, Hamad International Airport in Qatar has received the award of the Sky World Airport Awards 2024.

Singapore’s Changi Airport, which has been ranked first 12 times, is at number two this year.

Qatar’s Hamad International Airport handled 45 million passengers last year, a 31 percent increase over 2022 due to the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

South Korea’s airport is third, and Tokyo’s two airports are in the fourth and fifth positions, respectively, while Paris is in the sixth position and Dubai International Airport is in the 7th position.

Similarly, Munich is in 8th place, Zurich in 9th place, and Istanbul Airport in 2nd place.

The SkyWorld Airport list is compiled in light of a survey that ranks airports based on building, facilities, decoration, number of flights, and management.

Qatar Airport surpasses other airports in the world due to its modern design and the best service it provides to passengers.

Qatar Airways CEO Badr Muhammad Al Meer said this success was achieved due to teamwork, hard work, and dedication.
