Officials said the festival is being organised on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. The goal is to provide quality essential goods at affordable prices while ensuring a safe shopping environment for families.<\/p>\n

Punjab Food Authority Director General Asim Javed recently chaired a meeting with key stakeholders to review preparations. Chairperson Allama Dr Muhammad Raghib Hussain Naeemi stated that the minimum Sadaqatul Fitr and Fidyah amount has been set at Rs300 per person based on wheat flour. The rates vary depending on commodities, including Rs1,100 for barley, Rs1,600 for dates, Rs3,800 for raisins, and Rs5,400 for munqa. For those using government-subsidised flour, the minimum contribution is Rs200 per person.<\/p>\n

Officials added that the festival is part of broader efforts to provide maximum relief to citizens ahead of Ramazan. As preparations continue, authorities expect strong public turnout due to the combination of discounted shopping and cultural engagement.<\/p>\n
