COLOMBO: Pakistan easily defeated the United States by 32 runs in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, their second consecutive victory in the event.<\/p>\n
In the Group A match played in Colombo, the United States won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat first.<\/p>\n
Pakistan scored 190 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Sahibzada Farhan stood out by scoring 73 runs.<\/p>\n
Chasing Pakistan’s target, the United States team could score 158 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.<\/p>\n
For the US, Shubham and Shayan Jahangir were the standouts with 51 and 49 runs respectively, while Milind Kumar scored 29 runs. No other batsman could show any significant performance.<\/p>\n
One change was made in the Pakistan team for the match against the United States. Usman Tariq was included in the team in place of Salman Mirza.<\/p>\n
The Pakistan team included Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Babar Azam, Salman Agha, Usman Khan, Shadab Khan, Muhammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, Shaheen Afridi, Usman Tariq, and Abrar Ahmed.<\/p>\n
It should be noted that Pakistan had defeated the Netherlands by 3 wickets in their first match after a thrilling contest, while the USA had suffered a defeat at the hands of India.<\/p>\n
