Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has issued a final warning to Bahria Town over the alleged illegal use of public amenity land in Bahria Enclave, Zone-IV. The move comes after reports of encroachments on plots meant for parks, playgrounds, and open spaces.<\/p>\n
According to the CDA, the layout plan for Bahria Enclave-I, covering 12,543.11 kanals, was approved in December 2020. A No Objection Certificate (NOC) followed in April 2022, with strict conditions. In October 2022, land designated for public use was formally transferred to the CDA.<\/p>\n
The authority claims that a family park and a multi-purpose playing field in Sector-A\u2019s Park Road have been encroached upon. Marquees and a restaurant are reportedly operating on these sites for commercial purposes. CDA officials said this violates the approved plan and relevant regulations.<\/p>\n
Bahria Town has been directed to remove the alleged violations and restore the parks and green spaces within seven days. The developer must also submit a compliance report and provide a written explanation as to why legal proceedings should not follow. Non-compliance may result in demolition of illegal structures and enforcement actions, including police intervention. Costs will be recovered from responsible parties, and ex parte proceedings could be initiated if the developer fails to act.<\/p>\n
