Field Marshal Asim Munir<\/span><\/span> said UAE security integral to Pakistan<\/strong> while meeting senior Emirati leadership in Abu Dhabi, according to the military\u2019s media wing ISPR<\/span><\/span>. He stressed that both nations share deep historical ties and strong strategic cooperation.<\/p>\n

The army chief made these remarks during his meeting with His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan<\/span><\/span>, who serves as Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor of the United Arab Emirates<\/span><\/span>. The discussion focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation across key sectors.<\/p>\n

According to the ISPR, both sides reviewed progress in economic collaboration, investment, and security. They also exchanged views on regional developments and agreed on the importance of continued coordination to promote peace and stability.<\/p>\n

Field Marshal Munir thanked the UAE government for its consistent support to Pakistan\u2019s economy and security over many years. He said the UAE\u2019s role reflects the close and trusted partnership between the two countries.<\/p>\n

He also reaffirmed Pakistan\u2019s commitment to expanding this strategic relationship in ways that serve mutual interests. He noted that continued cooperation would help ensure stability and prosperity in the region.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Field Marshal Munir met Saudi Defence Minister Khalid bin Salman<\/span><\/span> to discuss joint efforts aimed at promoting global peace and security. Both leaders emphasised the strength of defence ties and shared strategic goals.<\/p>\n

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia already maintain close defence cooperation. In September last year, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif<\/span><\/span> visited Riyadh, where Pakistan and Saudi Arabia signed a strategic defence agreement at the invitation of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman<\/span><\/span>. The agreement declared that any aggression against one country would be considered aggression against both.<\/p>\n

Officials say these ongoing engagements highlight Pakistan\u2019s continued efforts to strengthen defence partnerships and maintain regional stability.
