{"id":101378,"date":"2026-02-18T19:03:39","date_gmt":"2026-02-18T14:03:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=101378"},"modified":"2026-02-18T19:03:39","modified_gmt":"2026-02-18T14:03:39","slug":"ramadan-2026-begins-in-pakistan-as-moon-sighted-fasting-starts-tomorrow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/ramadan-2026-begins-in-pakistan-as-moon-sighted-fasting-starts-tomorrow\/","title":{"rendered":"Ramadan 2026 begins in Pakistan as moon sighted, fasting starts tomorrow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PESHAWAR: The holy month of Ramadan 2026 begins in <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/news\/ramadan-2026-weather-forecast-pleasant-days-with-scattered-rain-expected\/\">Pakistan<\/a>, as the moon for Ramadan has been sighted across the country.<\/p>\n<p>Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee confirmed the sighting today, announcing that the first fast will commence tomorrow, Wednesday, February 18.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee was held in Peshawar to sight the moon of Ramadan, which is being chaired by Chairman Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad.<\/p>\n<p>According to Chairman Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, the zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committees also held separate meetings in Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, and Islamabad.<\/p>\n<p>Talking to the media in Peshawar, the Chairman Ruet-e-Hilal Committee said that we are in touch with all the zonal committees.<\/p>\n<p>Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad said that it is our united effort, and the scholars of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have also supported us in this regard.<\/p>\n<p>According to Suparco, \u2018The age of the moon at sunset will be approximately 25 hours and 48 minutes.
