{"id":101942,"date":"2026-02-24T09:23:41","date_gmt":"2026-02-24T04:23:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=101942"},"modified":"2026-02-24T09:23:41","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T04:23:41","slug":"pims-issues-statement-on-imran-khans-eye-treatment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pims-issues-statement-on-imran-khans-eye-treatment\/","title":{"rendered":"PIMS issues statement on Imran Khan\u2019s Eye treatment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: PTI founder <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/news\/supreme-court-rejects-meeting-request-with-imran-khan-during-hearing\/\">Imran Khan<\/a> was brought to PIMS Hospital for eye treatment.<\/p>\n<p>The Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) administration issued a statement saying that the PTI founder was brought to the hospital for eye treatment where he was given a second dose of anti-VEGF injection.<\/p>\n<p>According to the statement, a cardiologist and physician conducted a medical examination before the treatment, the report of which was declared normal. In addition, Imran Khan underwent echocardiography and ECG tests, the results of which were normal.<\/p>\n<p>The PIMS administration said that the injection was administered under the supervision of an ophthalmologist and vitreo-retinal surgeon, while the procedure was completed as a day care surgery. Ophthalmologists from PIMS and Shifa Eye Hospital were present at the time of the procedure.<\/p>\n<p>Imran Khan remained medically stable before, during and after the treatment, and was discharged from the hospital with necessary instructions and follow-up advice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: PTI founder Imran Khan was brought to PIMS Hospital for eye treatment.
