{"id":102346,"date":"2026-02-27T09:53:49","date_gmt":"2026-02-27T04:53:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=102346"},"modified":"2026-02-27T09:53:49","modified_gmt":"2026-02-27T04:53:49","slug":"punjab-govt-bewa-sahara-card-scheme-2026-formal-announcement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/punjab-govt-bewa-sahara-card-scheme-2026-formal-announcement\/","title":{"rendered":"Punjab Govt: Bewa Sahara Card Scheme 2026 formal announcement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has formally announced the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/kpk-govt-removes-bank-account-condition-for-rs12500-ramadan-package\/\">Bewa Sahara Card Scheme 2026<\/a> for financial assistance to widows.<\/p>\n<p>Under the scheme, financial assistance ranging from Rs 100,000 to Rs 150,000 will be provided to deserving and registered widows across the province.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Punjab Government, the aim of this scheme is to provide financial support to widows, help them meet their basic needs and provide them with opportunities to become self-sufficient.<\/p>\n<p>According to the announcement, the amount of financial assistance will vary according to the type of family and the number of children.<\/p>\n<p>A widow supporting one child will be given Rs 125,000 (with an additional Rs 25,000), while women supporting two or more children will be given up to Rs 150,000 (with an additional Rs 50,000). The basic assistance amount has been set at Rs 100,000.<\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/how-to-apply-for-the-pm-ramadan-relief-package-and-who-is-eligible\/\">How to Apply?<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>According to officials, the scheme will be launched from February 2026, while the registration process will continue till March 14. The applicant must be a permanent resident of Punjab and be a widow. In addition, a certified identity card from NADRA, husband\u2019s death certificate and children\u2019s B form must be submitted.<\/p>\n<p>Two methods have been introduced to submit the application. Widows can submit their application through the online portal or by contacting the nearest registration centers.<\/p>\n<p>Officials say that after biometric verification of all applications and verification of documents, the assistance amount will be provided in a transparent manner.<\/p>\n<p>The Punjab government has termed this initiative as an important milestone for the welfare and social security of women.
