Petrol Pump Owners Warn of Fuel Shortage<\/strong> in Pakistan as supply delays continue due to the ongoing Middle East crisis. The All Pakistan Petrol Pump Owners Association (APPPOA) has written a letter to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, expressing serious concern.<\/p>\n

The association said oil marketing companies have introduced a quota system. Because of this, fuel supply to petrol pumps has been limited or delayed.<\/p>\n

According to APPPOA, some orders are placed but later cancelled. Fuel tankers also remain stuck for hours without getting the required product.<\/p>\n

The association warned that this situation may create panic among the public. It urged the government to take immediate action and consult stakeholders before imposing any restrictions.<\/p>\n

So far, no official response has been issued by the government or oil companies.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA)<\/a> said the country has enough oil stocks for 28 days. Officials stated that Pakistan can meet petrol and diesel demand during this period.<\/p>\n

However, the regional conflict has affected global oil routes. Two cargoes of crude oil remain stuck after the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n

The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world\u2019s most important oil shipping routes. Around 20 percent of global oil passes through this narrow waterway.<\/p>\n

Reports suggest that Pakistan is now planning to import oil through the Red Sea from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.<\/p>\n

Sources say companies like Saudi Aramco and ADNOC may supply oil to Pakistan through alternative routes. Some shipments have already reached the country, while others are on the way.<\/p>\n

Pakistan imports around one million barrels of oil per month. Saudi Arabia remains a key supplier, followed by the UAE.<\/p>\n
