Airlines operating in Pakistan may increase airfares by up to Rs5,000 on domestic and international routes to offset the additional cost burden.<\/p>\n<p>Aviation fuel typically accounts for 30 to 40 percent of an airline&#8217;s operational expenses, which means that any operational changes will result in immediate financial effects for airlines.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistan&#8217;s aviation industry needs to postpone its recovery from the pandemic and economic challenges because global oil prices show no signs of decreasing.
