Murad estimated that implementing such a program would cost approximately Rs. 10 billion per month, but it could benefit a large number of students across the province.<\/p>\n<p>The university system operates with 17 million registered motorcycles in Punjab, which enables students to use a three-month fuel card program during times of high fuel prices to access essential transportation services.<\/p>\n<p>The former minister highlighted that the move would be especially helpful in reducing economic pressure on students while addressing the challenges posed by rising fuel prices.<\/p>\n<p>The proposal comes after the federal government announced a massive increase of Rs 55 per litre in petrol prices.
