ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has written a letter to Iran\u2019s newly elected Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei.<\/p>\n
The Prime Minister expressed condolences on the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei and expressed the condolences and prayers of the Pakistani people for the brotherly people of Iran and the Muslim Ummah.<\/p>\n
According to the text of the letter, the Pakistani people are deeply saddened by the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei and stand in solidarity with the leadership and people of Iran in this difficult time.<\/p>\n
The Prime Minister congratulated the Iranian Supreme Leader and said that he congratulates you on assuming the responsibilities of the Supreme Leader of Iran, and hopes that your leadership will guide Iran towards peace, stability, dignity, and prosperity in the coming years.<\/p>\n
According to the Prime Minister, Pakistan-Iran relations are based on common faith, history, culture, and language.<\/p>\n
The Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan\u2019s commitment to continue working with Iran and to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest for the benefit of both brotherly countries.<\/p>\n
