{"id":103929,"date":"2026-03-12T17:34:31","date_gmt":"2026-03-12T12:34:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=103929"},"modified":"2026-03-12T17:34:31","modified_gmt":"2026-03-12T12:34:31","slug":"may-9-case-pti-mpa-kaleemullah-khan-arrested-from-lahore","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/may-9-case-pti-mpa-kaleemullah-khan-arrested-from-lahore\/","title":{"rendered":"May 9 case: PTI MPA Kaleemullah Khan arrested from Lahore"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/news\/pakistani-dies-in-dubai-after-debris-from-aerial-interception-hits-vehicle-in-al-barsha\/\">PTI<\/a>) Punjab Assembly member Kaleemullah Khan has been arrested in the May 9 case.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Punjab Police, Kaleemullah Khan is the main accused in the May 9 case and was declared a wanted person by the Anti-Terrorism Court.<\/p>\n<p>Police say that a special team conducted an operation in Lahore to arrest the MPA, during which Kaleemullah Khan was arrested.<\/p>\n<p>Police say that Kaleemullah Khan was shifted from Lahore to Gujranwala after his arrest. According to officials, formal permission was also obtained from the Punjab Assembly Speaker before the arrest.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the\u00a0Lahore High Court granted bail to PTI leader\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/atc-acquits-sm-qureshi-sentences-key-pti-leaders-in-may-9-case\/\">Ejaz Chaudhry<\/a>\u00a0in three cases related to the May 9 riots and arson incidents.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports, the court reserved its verdict on the bail application filed by Ejaz Chaudhry in all three cases.<\/p>\n<p>A two-member bench headed by Justice Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi granted bail in all three cases.<\/p>\n<p>Ijaz Chaudhry\u2019s lawyer, Mian Ali Ashfaq, while giving arguments, said that his client is an accused in three cases, including the burning of the PML-N office and the container in Gulberg.<\/p>\n<p>He further said that the trial court did not assess the facts correctly, while the PTI founder has already been granted bail in these same cases.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Punjab Assembly member Kaleemullah Khan has been arrested in the May 9 case.
