Security forces kill five terrorists in Lakki Marwat during an intelligence-based operation conducted on Sunday, according to the military\u2019s media wing.<\/p>\n
The operation took place on March 15 after security agencies received reports about the presence of militants in the area.<\/p>\n
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations<\/span><\/span> (ISPR), troops quickly moved to the location and engaged the militants during the operation.<\/p>\n After an intense exchange of fire, security forces killed five terrorists belonging to the Indian-backed group Fitna al-Khawarij.<\/p>\n Officials said the militants were involved in several attacks in the region.<\/p>\n Security teams also recovered weapons and ammunition from the killed terrorists during the operation.<\/p>\n The ISPR said a sanitisation operation is still ongoing in the area to make sure no militants remain hidden.<\/p>\n The military added that the operation is part of Pakistan\u2019s wider counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam.<\/p>\n Authorities reaffirmed that Pakistan\u2019s security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue their efforts to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Security forces kill five terrorists in Lakki Marwat during an intelligence-based operation conducted on Sunday, according to the military\u2019s media wing.
