Saudi Arabia<\/a> says Iran targeted key locations with ballistic missiles and drones. The attacks came after Iran accused Israel of hitting its gas facilities earlier this week.<\/p>\nSaudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said the country has the right to respond if needed. He warned that pressure from Iran will not succeed and may backfire politically.<\/p>\n
He made these remarks during a meeting of regional foreign ministers in Riyadh. Diplomats from several countries including Turkey, UAE, Jordan, Qatar and Syria attended the talks.<\/p>\n
Officials said Saudi defense systems intercepted multiple missiles aimed at Riyadh. However, some debris reportedly fell near a refinery south of the city.<\/p>\n
This marks a serious escalation in the ongoing US-Israel conflict with Iran. The situation has already disrupted global oil and gas supplies.<\/p>\n
Authorities in Qatar, UAE, and Saudi Arabia confirmed attacks on energy facilities. Iran had earlier warned of targeting oil and gas infrastructure in the Gulf.<\/p>\n
