NEW YORK: On the occasion of the International Day of Happiness<\/span><\/span><\/a>, the latest global happiness rankings have been released with the support of the United Nations<\/span><\/span>, once again placing Finland<\/span><\/span> at the top for the ninth consecutive year.<\/p>\n

The report, based on data from the Gallup<\/span><\/span> World Poll covering the period from 2023 to 2025, evaluated 147 countries to provide a stable global assessment of well-being. Key factors considered in the rankings include per capita income, life expectancy, social support, freedom, generosity, and corruption levels.<\/p>\n

According to the rankings, Iceland<\/span><\/span> secured the second position, overtaking Denmark<\/span><\/span>, which placed third, followed by Costa Rica<\/span><\/span>, Sweden<\/span><\/span>, Norway<\/span><\/span>, and the Netherlands<\/span><\/span>. Meanwhile, Israel<\/span><\/span>, Luxembourg<\/span><\/span>, and Switzerland<\/span><\/span> completed the top 10 list.<\/p>\n

Pakistan<\/span><\/span> ranked 104th on the list, showing an improvement of five positions compared to last year\u2019s 109th place, while India<\/span><\/span> lagged behind at 116th. Among Muslim-majority countries, Kosovo<\/span><\/span> emerged as the happiest nation, ranking 16th overall, followed by the United Arab Emirates<\/span><\/span> at 21st and Saudi Arabia<\/span><\/span> at 22nd. Notably, the United States<\/span><\/span> was placed 23rd.<\/p>\n

At the bottom of the index, Afghanistan<\/span><\/span> was ranked the least happy country in the world at 147th, followed by Sierra Leone<\/span><\/span>, Malawi<\/span><\/span>, Zimbabwe<\/span><\/span>, and Botswana<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Other countries among the least happy include Yemen<\/span><\/span>, Lebanon<\/span><\/span>, Democratic Republic of the Congo<\/span><\/span>, Egypt<\/span><\/span>, and Tanzania<\/span><\/span>, highlighting significant global disparities in quality of life and overall well-being.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
