It was carrying 128 people, including army personnel, air force members, and police officers.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"866\" data-end=\"1070\">According to officials, the crash happened near <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Puerto Leguizamo<\/span><\/span>, a remote area close to the Peru border. The plane reportedly hit something near the end of the runway during takeoff.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1072\" data-end=\"1216\">Firefighters said the aircraft later struck a tree and caught fire. Some explosive material on board also detonated, making the situation worse.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1218\" data-end=\"1405\">Local residents were the first to help. They quickly moved injured soldiers using motorcycles before official rescue teams arrived. The difficult terrain slowed down emergency operations.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1407\" data-end=\"1549\">Authorities said 57 survivors were taken to hospitals. Around 30 of them are in stable condition and receiving treatment at a military clinic.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1551\" data-end=\"1732\">Colombian President <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Gustavo Petro<\/span><\/span> criticised delays in military modernisation. He stressed that lives should not be put at risk due to administrative issues.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1734\" data-end=\"1916\">Officials and political leaders have called for a full investigation into the cause of the crash.
