PESHAWAR: The recent rains and flood situation<\/a> in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan have increased the loss of life and property.<\/p>\n

According to the PDMA report, a total of 57 people have died in various accidents in both provinces, while more than 100 have been injured.<\/p>\n

According to the PDMA, 45 people have died in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa since March 25, including 23 children, 17 men and 5 women. According to the data released in Peshawar, 105 people have also been injured in various accidents, especially due to collapse of roofs and walls, including 45 men, 16 women and 44 children.<\/p>\n

According to the report, a total of 442 houses were damaged in the province, of which 382 were partially destroyed and 60 were completely destroyed.<\/p>\n

These accidents occurred in various districts including Bannu, Abbottabad, Mardan, Bajaur and Peshawar. The supply of relief materials has started in the affected areas while the administration has been directed to provide immediate assistance to the victims. PDMA has warned that a new series of rains is likely to continue in the province from April 6 to 9.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, 12 people died due to rains and flash floods in various districts of Balochistan including Quetta, including 4 men and 8 children. Another 15 people were injured, including 10 children, 4 women and one man.<\/p>\n

According to the report, casualties were reported in Kech, Harnai, Kohlu, Loralai, Jaffarabad, Musakhel, Daki and Zhob, while financial losses were reported in Naseerabad, Chaman, Hub, Awaran, Lasbela, Pishin and Qila Abdullah. 160 houses were damaged in the province, of which 33 were completely destroyed while 127 were partially damaged.<\/p>\n
