Officials worked continuously with global powers to stop further escalation. The move comes as the timeline set by Donald Trump approaches quickly.

Sources say Pakistan has helped exchange proposals between Washington and Tehran. These discussions were carried out through indirect channels. However, major disagreements still remain between both sides.

Despite the active engagement, no final agreement has been reached. Officials believe the gap between the United States and Iran is still wide. This makes an immediate breakthrough difficult.

China and Russia have also joined the diplomatic process. Their involvement is seen as important, especially to address Iran’s concerns about trust. Both countries are close allies of Tehran and may help support any future agreement.

Reports suggest that Pakistan’s leadership has been in contact with senior US officials. These include JD Vance and other key figures. At the same time, communication has also continued with Iranian leadership.

In parallel, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held discussions with his Iranian counterpart. Chinese and Russian officials also coordinated their positions during this period.

Pakistan’s Foreign Office has confirmed that diplomatic efforts are ongoing. However, it has avoided sharing details about specific proposals. Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said reports about ceasefire offers or frameworks cannot be confirmed at this stage.

Some international reports claim a possible 45-day ceasefire is under discussion. Others mention a broader framework for ending hostilities. Officials, however, stress that these ideas are still at an early stage.

Iran has responded cautiously to these proposals. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei stated that talks cannot continue under pressure or threats. He also indicated that earlier proposals were not acceptable to Tehran.

According to Iranian sources, Tehran has outlined its own conditions. These include ending regional hostilities, ensuring safe navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, reconstruction support, and lifting of sanctions.

Iran has also made it clear that any agreement must be long-term. It prefers a permanent solution rather than a temporary ceasefire.

The situation remains tense as the conflict impacts global markets. The Strait of Hormuz is a key route for oil supply, and any disruption could affect energy prices worldwide.

Pakistan has positioned itself as a key mediator in this crisis. It maintains relations with both Washington and Tehran. Officials say its role is to keep communication channels open and prevent a complete breakdown in talks.

In a positive signal, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has shown openness to dialogue in Islamabad. This indicates that Pakistan’s mediation efforts are being taken seriously.

However, time is running out. With differences still unresolved, the success of Pakistan US Iran mediation remains uncertain. Much will depend on whether ongoing talks can produce meaningful progress before the deadline.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan US Iran mediation has entered a critical phase as Islamabad makes urgent diplomatic efforts to bridge differences between the United States and Iran before a key deadline.
