ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir<\/a><\/span><\/span> met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif<\/span><\/span> to review progress on Pakistan\u2019s efforts for lasting peace in the region.<\/p>\n

According to an official statement, both leaders expressed satisfaction over the recent reduction in tensions and emphasized the need for all parties to maintain the ceasefire and continue exercising restraint.<\/p>\n
