LAHROE: The High Court rejected the State Bank of Pakistan<\/a>\u2019s request to dismiss 10 employees and ordered them to be made permanent and pay all dues.<\/p>\n

According to details, the Lahore High Court heard the petition filed for the dismissal of 10 employees of the State Bank.<\/p>\n

Justice Abid Hussain of the Lahore High Court issued an 8-page written decision on the case. The court declared the verbal dismissal of the employees by the State Bank null and void and upheld the previous decisions of the Labor Court and NIRC.<\/p>\n

The written decision has laid down some important legal points regarding employment. The court ruled that an employee who works continuously for more than 9 months is legally entitled to permanent status.<\/p>\n

The court declared the \u2018artificial breaks\u2019 given in service by the State Bank to prevent employees from becoming permanent as illegal, saying that this is an attempt to kill the rights of employees.<\/p>\n

The decision clarified that the internal rules of the State Bank cannot unlawfully abrogate the fundamental rights of an employee.<\/p>\n

The court remarked in its decision that it was an illegal attempt to deprive employees of the benefits of permanent employment.<\/p>\n

The High Court, upholding the decisions of the Labor Court and the NIRC, has ordered the bank management to make all 10 employees permanent immediately and also pay all their previous dues.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
