{"id":111262,"date":"2026-05-05T19:22:05","date_gmt":"2026-05-05T14:22:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=111262"},"modified":"2026-05-05T19:26:19","modified_gmt":"2026-05-05T14:26:19","slug":"locations-for-cattle-markets-in-lahore-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/locations-for-cattle-markets-in-lahore-announced\/","title":{"rendered":"Locations for cattle markets in Lahore announced"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: Lahore authorities have announced the establishment of temporary cattle markets from May 13 to facilitate citizens ahead of <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/how-many-holidays-will-be-announced-for-eid-ul-adha-2026\/\">Eid al-Adha<\/a> 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The Punjab Cattle Market Management Company (PCMMC) will set up five temporary sale points across the city for the buying and selling of sacrificial animals.<\/p>\n<p>The Shahpur Kanjran cattle market will function as a model market that operates throughout the year, while the festive period will see the establishment of additional temporary market locations.<\/p>\n<p>The temporary market locations include Saggian, which occupies 25 acres, Wahga Sports Complex, which occupies 50 acres, Barkee Road, which occupies 20 acres, LDA City, which occupies 65 acres, and Raiwind, which occupies 25 acres.<\/p>\n<p>The public will receive facilities, which include tents, water, and awareness banners for their convenience. The security arrangements will use Punjab Police and Para Force, while the Health Department, Rescue 1122, and Livestock Department will handle safety measures and operational procedures.<\/p>\n<p>The Karachi authorities permitted the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) to build cattle markets in five specific sites throughout the city to prepare for Eid al-Adha 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The official notification states that markets will be established at Sunday Bazar in North Karachi, KMC Grounds, Safari Park, and Gulistan-e-Johar Blocks 5 and 6.<\/p>\n<p>The cattle markets will also be arranged on vacant plots in Lyari&#8217;s Bakra Piri area and Korangi.
