She didn&#8217;t think it could get into her breathing passage either. The first procedure took much longer than expected and didn\u2019t work. But in a second surgery the nose ring was finally removed safely. Doctors say the metal ring may have punctured her lungs or artery and that could have killed her.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1594\" data-end=\"1860\">Her story soon went viral on social media with many users expressing shock over how a tiny piece of jewelry almost cost someone their life.
