LAHORE: Fatima Sana has been retained as captain of the Pakistan women\u2019s cricket team for the upcoming tri-series in Ireland and the ICC Women\u2019s T20 World Cup 2026 in England and Wales, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB<\/a>) announced on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The Women\u2019s National Selection Committee has named a 15-member squad for both tournaments.<\/p>\n

Pakistan will participate in a tri-series in Dublin featuring hosts Ireland and the West Indies. The event will be held from 28 May to 4 June, with Pakistan scheduled to play four matches.<\/p>\n

The series is expected to serve as preparation for the ICC Women\u2019s T20 World Cup 2026<\/a>, scheduled from 12 June to 5 July.<\/p>\n

Fatima Sana, 24, will captain Pakistan in her second consecutive T20 World Cup after leading the side in the previous edition held in the UAE in 2024.<\/p>\n

Pakistan recently completed a successful 3-0 T20I series sweep against Zimbabwe in Karachi, which helped strengthen preparations for upcoming assignments.<\/p>\n
