He had been ill for some time.<\/p>\n<p>According to his family, his funeral prayers will be offered tomorrow, Sunday, after Zuhr prayers at Jamia Ashrafia, Lahore.<\/p>\n<p>The deceased leaves behind five sons and four daughters to mourn.<\/p>\n<p>Altaf Hassan Qureshi was the editor-in-chief of the monthly magazine \u201cUrdu Digest\u201d for a long time and was also the author of several well-known books.<\/p>\n<p>His famous works include \u201cMalaqateen\u201d, \u201cMubakal Hai Aine\u201d, \u201cChha Nakat Ki Sachi Tikkur\u201d, \u201cNook-e-Zaban\u201d and \u201cMashreqi Pakistan: Tota Hua Tara\u201d among others.<\/p>\n<p>In 2019, a special book titled \u201cAltaf Sahafat\u201d was also published on his journalistic services.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: Senior journalist and intellectual Altaf Hassan Qureshi has passed away at the age of 94.
