In addition, the price of Murban crude oil has reached $108 per barrel.<\/p>\n<p>It should be noted that earlier, crude oil prices had increased in the global market due to US President Donald Trump&#8217;s rejection of Iranian proposals and the uncertainty over the opening of the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3ca5c6a elementor-widget elementor-widget-theme-post-title elementor-page-title elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"3ca5c6a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"theme-post-title.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Govt announces new petrol rates for next week<\/h3>\n<p>The government of Pakistan has announced new\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/petrol-and-diesel-become-expensive-in-india-after-4-years\/\">petrol rates<\/a>\u00a0effective from 16 May 2026 (Saturday).<\/p>\n<p>The federal government has reduced the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs5 per litre each.<\/p>\n<p>According to details surfaced on Friday, the price of petrol has been fixed at Rs 409.78 per litre, while diesel has been set at Rs 409.58 per litre.
