SYLHET: Pakistan bowling coach Umar Gul<\/span><\/span> has rejected reports of an alleged altercation with fast bowler Shaheen Afridi<\/span><\/span><\/a>, saying the incident was misunderstood on social media.<\/p>\n

Speaking during a press conference in Sylhet, Umar Gul said he was surprised to see social media posts claiming that Shaheen Afridi was not listening to the coach\u2019s instructions.<\/p>\n

He explained that the situation occurred when Hasan Ali<\/span><\/span> suffered an injury and was lying on the ground, while Shaheen Afridi was sitting outside the field.<\/p>\n

According to the bowling coach, Shaheen usually tapes his knee during bowling spells and they were discussing the matter at the time.<\/p>\n

Umar Gul said he was having a routine conversation with Shaheen when Sarfaraz Ahmed<\/span><\/span> approached them and informed them that Hasan Ali had suffered a head injury.<\/p>\n

He clarified that the situation was wrongly portrayed as a dispute, adding that nothing unusual had happened between him and the fast bowler.<\/p>\n

The former pacer further said that the reaction seen in the viral video was natural and he was unaware that cameras were recording the moment.<\/p>\n
