{"id":113307,"date":"2026-05-21T14:14:06","date_gmt":"2026-05-21T09:14:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=113307"},"modified":"2026-05-21T14:14:06","modified_gmt":"2026-05-21T09:14:06","slug":"passport-fee-payments-to-go-fully-digital-under-new-initiative","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/passport-fee-payments-to-go-fully-digital-under-new-initiative\/","title":{"rendered":"Passport fee payments to go fully digital under new initiative"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"68\" data-end=\"317\">ISLAMABAD: An important decision has been taken to make <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/check-latest-72-page-pakistan-passport-fee-update-for-july-2025\/\">passport fee<\/a> payments easier and more transparent through a fully digital system following a meeting chaired by Director General Immigration and Passports <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Muhammad Ali Randhawa<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"319\" data-end=\"598\">According to officials, representatives from the <span class=\"\" data-state=\"closed\">National Bank of Pakistan<\/span>, <span class=\"\" data-state=\"closed\">JazzCash<\/span>, <span class=\"\" data-state=\"closed\">Easypaisa,<\/span> and other relevant institutions attended the meeting focused on introducing a cashless passport fee payment mechanism.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"600\" data-end=\"803\">During the meeting, it was decided to shift passport fee payments completely to digital channels in line with the vision of Prime Minister <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Shehbaz Sharif<\/span><\/span> and the Interior Ministry.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"805\" data-end=\"1080\">DG Immigration and Passports Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed officials to introduce a modern payment system aimed at eliminating long queues at banks and improving convenience for citizens. Stakeholders assured full cooperation for the early implementation of the cashless system.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1082\" data-end=\"1260\">Separately, authorities also reviewed measures to further improve service quality at passport offices and ensure citizens receive faster, more transparent and dignified services.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1262\" data-end=\"1411\">As part of these efforts, Muhammad Ali Randhawa visited the Regional Passport Office in G-10 Islamabad and reviewed facilities available to citizens.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1413\" data-end=\"1562\">According to the spokesperson, the DG met visitors at the office, listened to complaints and directed concerned officials to resolve issues promptly.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1564\" data-end=\"1686\">He also reviewed the cashless system already functioning at the office and expressed satisfaction over its implementation.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1688\" data-end=\"1900\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Officials said the use of modern technology is improving transparency and making public services more accessible and efficient, while reaffirming the commitment to continue upgrading passport services nationwide.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: An important decision has been taken to make passport fee payments easier and more transparent through a fully digital system following a meeting chaired by Director General Immigration and Passports Muhammad Ali Randhawa.
