He died on the spot due to multiple bullet injuries.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"513\" data-end=\"632\">During the incident, a woman passing nearby was also injured by gunfire and was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"634\" data-end=\"782\">Police reached the scene soon after the incident and cordoned off the area, initiating an investigation and search operation to trace the attackers.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"784\" data-end=\"920\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Officials said inquiries into the motive behind the killing are ongoing, while further evidence is being collected from the crime scene.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BARNALA (Bhimber): Former Chairman of the Zakat and Ushr Department and political and social figure Chaudhry Adalat Khan was shot dead in the Barnala area of Bhimber district on Thursday.
