Pakistan-China friendship had reached new heights following Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif\u2019s recent visit to China, reaffirming Pakistan\u2019s unwavering commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation and advancing the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/cpec-2-0-pakistan-china-to-launch-five-additional-corridors\/\">CPEC<\/a>).<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Addressing a ceremony, organised by Xinhua News Agency, in connection with the construction of CPEC, 75 years of Pakistan-China friendship, and global governance initiatives, the minister said it was a matter of great pride for the government and the people of Pakistan that the two countries were celebrating 75 years of an unbreakable bond.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>He said Pakistan and China shared a unique relationship that went beyond conventional diplomatic ties.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cMany countries describe their relations as brotherly, friendly, or cordial, but Pakistan and China have the distinct honour of being iron brothers,\u201d he remarked.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Paying tribute to the leadership and people of both countries, Tarar said a renewed commitment to Pakistan-China friendship had emerged from the recent visit to China and provided fresh motivation to transform the shared vision of cooperation into reality.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>He said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif\u2019s visit had taken bilateral friendship to new heights, adding that Pakistan-China friendship was a legacy passed down through generations and inherited from elders who had witnessed decades of mutual trust and cooperation.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The minister said Pakistan and China not only shared a common border but also mountains, rivers, and a bond that would continue to be cherished for generations to come.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Expressing Pakistan\u2019s support for the Global Governance Initiative under the leadership of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Tarar said the initiative had started producing positive results across the world within a short span of time.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>He said the initiative was contributing towards increasing the representation of the Global South while helping improve the lives and livelihoods of people in developing countries.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Referring to Federal Minister for Planning and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal\u2019s role as a strong advocate of CPEC, Tarar said the flagship project had brought the peoples of Pakistan and China closer together over the years.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>He recalled Chinese President Xi Jinping\u2019s visit to Islamabad as a landmark event that launched a journey of progress and prosperity for the people of both countries.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The minister said cultural exchanges, people-to-people contacts, and media cooperation could play a vital role in further strengthening bilateral relations and deepening the strategic partnership between Pakistan and China.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Highlighting the enduring nature of bilateral ties, he said the past 75 years had demonstrated that Pakistan-China friendship was all-weather and time-tested.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Despite changes in governments and the passage of different decades, he said, the friendship had continued to grow stronger and gain greater momentum with each passing year.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Sharing his personal experience, Tarar said he himself was an example of the benefits of people-to-people exchanges between Pakistan and China.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>He said that as a young officer in the Punjab government, he had the opportunity to be part of several delegations that visited China and witnessed extensive exchanges between his political party and the International Department of the Communist Party of China (IDCPC).<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Such exchanges, he added, had proven to be fruitful and productive and could contribute towards a brighter future for the people of both countries.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Concluding his address, the minister reaffirmed Pakistan\u2019s commitment to its friendship with China, the advancement of CPEC, and the promotion of the Global Governance Initiative.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Speaking on behalf of his ministry, the prime minister and the government, Tarar said Pakistan firmly believed in the enduring friendship with China and remained fully committed to implementing shared initiatives.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cYou will always find us one step ahead in the implementation of these initiatives,\u201d he said.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The minister concluded his remarks with the slogan, \u201cPak-China dosti
