{"id":115977,"date":"2026-06-21T12:33:19","date_gmt":"2026-06-21T07:33:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=115977"},"modified":"2026-06-21T12:33:19","modified_gmt":"2026-06-21T07:33:19","slug":"six-killed-as-temple-roof-collapses-in-maharashtra","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/world\/six-killed-as-temple-roof-collapses-in-maharashtra\/","title":{"rendered":"Six killed as temple roof collapses in Maharashtra"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MUMBAI: At least six people died in India after the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/world\/archeologists-discover-4000-years-old-temple\/\">Yashwadi Templ<\/a>e in Parbhani district of Maharashtra&#8217;s roof collapsed.<\/p>\n<p>According to Indian media, the roof in front of the Yashwadi Temple&#8217;s dargah collapsed during repair work, trapping 27 people under the rubble.<\/p>\n<p>MLA Rajesh Vitekar said that as soon as the incident was reported, rescue agencies and police reached the spot and participated in the rescue operation.<\/p>\n<p>Rajesh Vitekar said that the injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital, while all the people buried under the rubble have been rescued.<\/p>\n<p>He further said that the craftsmen who worked on the roof of the temple were from other states, and the stone used for the work was ordered from Rajasthan.<\/p>\n<p>The work was nearing completion; however, it is believed that there was a delay or negligence in securing the standing pillar, due to which this accident occurred.<\/p>\n<p>According to media reports, the temple is the most popular pilgrimage site in Parbhani district, where 25,000 to 50,000 devotees visit every Saturday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MUMBAI: At least six people died in India after the Yashwadi Temple in Parbhani district of Maharashtra&#8217;s roof collapsed.
