KARACHI: Flour prices have skyrocketed and have become expensive by up to Rs 10 per kg at the retail level.<\/p>\n

In retail, 2.5 number flour<\/a> has become expensive by Rs 10 to reach Rs 160 per kg, while fine flour is being sold at Rs 170 per kg with an increase of Rs 10.<\/p>\n

Expressing concern over this situation, the Retailers Association has demanded action against the responsible elements.<\/p>\n

General Secretary of the Retailers Association, Farid Qureshi, has said that despite the abundance of wheat, the increase in flour prices is beyond comprehension.<\/p>\n

The government should take action against such elements who are causing the increase in flour prices.<\/p>\n

Residents of Lahore are facing a sharp increase in liquefied petroleum gas\u00a0(LPG)<\/a>\u00a0prices amid reports of low gas pressure and shortages of natural gas, placing an additional financial burden on consumers.<\/p>\n

Although the government has fixed the official LPG price at Rs241 per kilogram, consumers in various parts of the city report purchasing the fuel at rates ranging between Rs410 and Rs460 per kilogram.<\/p>\n

According to residents, LPG is not available at the officially notified price in any area of Lahore, with retailers charging rates significantly higher than the government-approved level.<\/p>\n
