During a physical inspection, customs officials recovered 897 new air conditioners, 113 dehumidifiers, and three water dispensers, contrary to the declared description.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"566\" data-end=\"846\">Documents state that the total value of the seized goods has been assessed at Rs63.39 million (Rs6 crore 33 lakh 90 thousand). Authorities also claim they foiled an attempt to evade approximately Rs47.95 million (Rs4 crore 79 lakh 50 thousand) in customs duties and taxes.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"848\" data-end=\"1071\">The accused have been booked for the alleged misuse of the Export Facilitation Scheme (EFS). The confiscated goods have been taken into custody under Section 168 of the Customs Act pending further legal proceedings.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1073\" data-end=\"1391\">Meanwhile, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has transferred Additional Collector Yawar Nawaz and Deputy Collector Aqsa Aslam over the alleged misuse of the Export Facilitation Scheme.
