{"id":118518,"date":"2026-07-18T16:07:59","date_gmt":"2026-07-18T11:07:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=118518"},"modified":"2026-07-18T16:46:56","modified_gmt":"2026-07-18T11:46:56","slug":"k-electric-warns-customers-against-false-electricity-bill-notice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/k-electric-warns-customers-against-false-electricity-bill-notice\/","title":{"rendered":"K-Electric warns customers against false electricity bill notice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: K-Electric, the electricity provider to Karachi, has issued a clarification statement denying an alleged notice on social media that misled consumers about <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/lesco-bans-installment-options-for-electricity-bills\/\">electricity bills<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The unverified notice, which went viral on social media, claimed that if a protected category consumer consumes more than 200 units of electricity in a single month, he will be permanently removed from this concessional category.<\/p>\n<p>K-Electric has rejected this rumor and directed the public to believe only official sources instead of listening to such sensational and unverified information.<\/p>\n<p>According to the clarification statement issued by the K-Electric spokesperson, there has been no change in the prevailing terms and conditions of the federal government\u2019s protected category.<\/p>\n<p>The spokesperson clarified that even if a non-TOU consumer crosses the limit of 200 units in a single month, his protected status does not end forever.
