{"id":118940,"date":"2026-07-24T12:50:01","date_gmt":"2026-07-24T07:50:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=118940"},"modified":"2026-07-24T12:50:01","modified_gmt":"2026-07-24T07:50:01","slug":"pmd-forecasts-fresh-spell-of-rain-across-pakistan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/weather\/pmd-forecasts-fresh-spell-of-rain-across-pakistan\/","title":{"rendered":"PMD forecasts fresh spell of rain across Pakistan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/weather\/karachi-to-receive-three-day-long-rains-pmd\/\">PMD<\/a>) has issued an important forecast regarding a new series of rains in different parts of the country.<\/p>\n<p>According to the PMD, light and heavy rains are expected in the upper areas of Punjab, Islamabad, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the next 24 hours, while drizzle is also expected at a few places in Karachi.<\/p>\n<p>Lahore has received Intermittent rain since last night, resulting in a drop of temprature.<\/p>\n<p>The maximum temperature in the city is likely to remain up to 27 degrees Celsius, while cool winds will blow at a speed of 11 kilometers per hour.<\/p>\n<p>The humidity in the air is expected to reach 88 percent, due to which the weather will feel more pleasant.<\/p>\n<p>Intermittent rain has also been predicted to continue in the federal capital Islamabad throughout the day today.<\/p>\n<p>The continuous rains for the past four days have completely changed the weather of the city, and there has been a significant decrease in the temperature.<\/p>\n<p>The temperature was recorded at 23 degrees Celsius in the morning, while the maximum temperature is likely to go up to 30 degrees.<\/p>\n<p>Winds are expected to blow at a speed of about 14 kilometers per hour in the city, and the humidity ratio in the air is expected to be more than 61 percent.<\/p>\n<p>PMD says that there is a possibility of thundershowers in the upper areas of Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, due to which the flow of water in local rivers may increase; the relevant agencies have been instructed to remain alert.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued an important forecast regarding a new series of rains in different parts of the country.
