The legal team will brief the ECP high-ups on the new census data.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, the ECP sought a report from the scrutiny committee regarding the foreign funding of the political parties. The scrutiny committee has been directed to submit its report in 10 days.<\/p>\n<p>The commission also instructed to approach concerned courts for immediate hearing of the cases.<\/p>\n<p>In another development today, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) decided to remove Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan from his post as party\u2019s head.<\/p>\n<p>According to a private news channel report an important meeting was held at the ECP where the electoral body decided to remove PTI chief Imran Khan from his post as party head.<\/p>\n<p>Under the chairmanship of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja, the commission reviewed the situation after the PTI chief\u2019s arrest.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Read more:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/ecp-all-set-to-hold-lg-polls-in-islamabad.html\">ECP all set to hold LG polls in Islamabad<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The meeting also reviewed the written verdict of Islamabad\u2019s session court, which found him guilty of \u2018corrupt practices\u2019 in Toshakhana case\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Subsequently, it was decided that following his conviction, Imran Khan was no longer eligible to hold office as the PTI chairman.
