{"id":18594,"date":"2023-08-12T16:30:07","date_gmt":"2023-08-12T11:30:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=18594"},"modified":"2023-08-12T16:30:07","modified_gmt":"2023-08-12T11:30:07","slug":"pti-chairman-allowed-to-meet-family-lawyers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pti-chairman-allowed-to-meet-family-lawyers\/","title":{"rendered":"PTI chairman allowed to meet family, lawyers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Saturday directed the Attock Jail officials to allow Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman to hold meetings with friends and family as provided in the law.<\/p>\n<p>In its written order, the court also directed Attock jail authorities to provide medical facilities to PTI chairman, a prayer mat and a copy of the English version of the Holy Quran.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe (the former prime minister) may also be provided with the prayer mat and English version of the Holy Quran,\u201d the court said.<\/p>\n<p>The order reiterated that the former premier be provided with \u201call the facilities as per his entitlement\u201d under the PPR.<\/p>\n<p><strong>IHC summons Toshakhana record<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Saturday sought the record of the Toshakhana case against the PTI chairman, who is currently incarcerated in Attock Jail.<\/p>\n<p>The IHC division bench comprising Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri issued the order on Imran\u2019s petition against his conviction in the said case.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Read more:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/bushra-bibi-meets-chairman-pti-in-attock-jail.html\">Bushra Bibi meets Chairman PTI in Attock Jail<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a written order issued today, the IHC issued a notice to the district election commissioner of Islamabad.<\/p>\n<p>On August 5, the District and Sessions Court awarded\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/arynews.tv\/toshakhana-case-court-awards-three-years-jail-term-to-pti-chairman\/\">three years jail term to the PTI chairman<\/a>\u00a0in Toshakhana criminal case.<\/p>\n<p>The court also imposed Rs 100,000 fine on the convicted chief of the PTI.
